Kannur Corporation Mayor TO Mohanan said that students can play a big role in waste disposal and sanitation in the corporation.
The mayor was speaking at a reception hosted by the Kaoser English School, Pullupikkadavu.
Students should be encouraged to avoid littering in public places, educate others, and engage in collective clean-up activities as much as possible. Scientific system of waste management is the key issue in taking new steps in the development of the Corporation as well as a waste-free city.
Mr.Kukkiri Rajesh, Councillor, Division 9, Kannur Corporation and Shakuntala M, Councillor, Division 13 were also received at Kaoser School.
Mayor TO Mohanan launched the revamped website of the school.
U.P Siddiq Master, Vice Chairman of Kaoser Charitable Trust, presided over the function. K P Abdul Aziz, V N Haris, V K Khalid also spoke in the occassion. Mr Kukuri Rajesh and Ms Shakuntala thanked the school authorities for organizing this event. The School Principal Ms Rafeena Annan welcomed the dignitaries. The program winded up with the Vote of Thanks by The School Manager, Muhammed Nizar CT .
